Are you suffering from heel pain or plantar fasciitis?

An orthotics treatment may help relieve your pain.

Orthotics Treatment

Cork Chiropractic can recommend Orthotic Treatments to help relieve foot pain.
Orthotics are either temporary or permanent insoles that are designed to fit into an individual’s shoes. Insoles are a prescribed solution that can help relieve and treat a range of foot pain. A proper insole is made to restore regular balance and elevate undue pressure on muscles and joints. Insoles can help a person walk and move without pain.
Orthotics treatments help relieve pain during everyday life and/or during sport.

Orthotics are an effective treatment for:

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Fallen Arches

  • Shin Splints

  • Heel Pain

  • Knee Pain

Everyone’s pain is different and therefore orthotics need to be individually prescribed. Our chiropractor evaluates your foot and prescribes the right, shape, size and material orthotic in-sole.

Our Orthotic Treatment Service

To properly identify the issue with a foot and gait, we have patients complete a biomechanical assessment and gait analysis. The results of these tests will tell our chiropractor if the issue is indeed to do with the foot.

We usually issue clients with temporary orthotics which allows us to make corrections over the next few months. This process ensures we get the right orthotic shape to treat pain.

If the provided temporary Orthotics successfully elevate your foot pain, we can order permanent orthotics to be created.

Orthotics Treatment FAQ

  • Should orthotics be worn all the time?

This depends on your prescription. Our chiropractor will recommend if you should be wearing your prescribed shoe inserts for foot pain all the time.

  • How long does it take for orthotics to begin relieving pain?

It usually takes one to two weeks for an individual to adjust to their Orthotics. After this, you should gradually feel a reduction in pain.
